Several years ago, Ryan and I began to experiment with combining my stories and his drawings.

I mapped out a little story about our shared experiences living in various haunted houses and apartments together (my own inexplicable encounters, like the one described in “The Shakey Mover: Part Three” notwithstanding)!

First, it was the eternally inspiring and mid-century three-bedroom house we rented down the street from an enormous cemetery in Waterloo. We each perceived something unusual in the basement a few months before we downsized into a more affordable one-bedroom apartment.

And then, it happened again…
